It Was Founded In 1971 To Help People Who Experience Discrimination In Their Search For Housing. Soon Thereafter, In An Effort To Address The Effects Of Past Discrimination And The Complex Nature Of Unequal Opportunities In The Housing Market, Home Began To Add New Counseling Programs To Address The Need Of Many Families And Individuals For Information And Training That Would Allow Them To Take Advantage Of The Housing Opportunities That Are Now Available. Home Also Provides Financial Assistance, Coupled With Counseling, Designed To Help Households Stabilize Their Housing Situation And Become Self-Sufficient.
