Since 1929, The United Way Of Medina County Has Maintained A Tradition Of Helping Those In Need, Assessing The Needs Of The Community, Raising Funds And Distributing Financial Support To 26 Local Partner Agencies. One Of Every Three Medina County Residents Receives Benefits. Donations Help Children Through Homework Assistance And Mentoring Programs, Feed A Homebound Senior Through Daily Delivery Of A Hot Meal, Help Families In Crisis, Women Suffering Domestic Abuse, The Bereaved Family, And People With Disabilities. Uwmc Is Also A Community Partner In Many Grass-Roots Programs. Through The Volunteer Center, Teens, Businesses And Families Have The Opportunity To Give Back Through Community Projects. The United Way Is Efficient, Using 14 Cents Of Every Dollar Raised For Fundraising Costs. Experienced Volunteers Review Agency Programs And Budgets To Make Sure That Donors Get A Good Return On Their Investment.
