Sebnc Evolved From The Council House, A Project Of The National Council Of Jewish Women. During The 1940s, The Ncjw Invited A Group Of Leaders Who Represented The Rapidly Growing African-American Community To Assume Responsibility For The Forest Neighborhood Houses, Which Was Renamed And Reincorporated As Sebnc In 1971. Sebnc Is A Settlement House Of The United Neighborhood Houses (Unh), Which Makes Up One Of The Larger Human Service Systems In New York City.
