At The Red Hook Initiative We Believe That Social Change Starts Within Individuals. In Keeping With This Belief, Almost 100% Of Our Employees Live In The Red Hook Houses. We Provide Training And Mentorship So That The People From The Neighborhood Can Create Their Own Programs To Meet The Needs Of Their Community. Not Only Does This Practice Provide Livable Wage Jobs In A Community Known For A Lack Of Employment Opportunities, It Also Keeps All Of Our Financial Resources Within The Neighborhood.
