Cucs Has Pioneered The Advancement Of Effective Housing And Service Initiatives For Homeless People, Particularly Those With Serious Mental Illness, Hiv/Aids, And Other Disabling Conditions. Since Its Inception At Columbia University In 1979, Cucs Has Worked To Improve Public Policy And Programs That Serve Poor And Disenfranchised Individuals.Cucs Currently Operates Twelve Service Sites Throughout Manhattan And Sponsors A National Training And Technical Assistance Program. Our Organization?S History Of Innovation And Creativity Has Resulted In Many Of Its Program Models Being Replicated In Cities Across The Nation. Our Efforts Are Centered On The Development Of Progressive, Cost-Effective Models For Addressing Homelessness.
