Asc's Motto, "Helping Many, One By One,"Embodies Our Mission Of Building Community, Connection And Stability For The Thousands Of New Yorkers We Serve Economically Disenfranchised Men And Women Facing Addiction, Poverty, Mental Illness, Homelessness And Domestic Violence, Alongside A Range Of Other Health Issues Such As Hiv/Aids, Tb, And Hepatitis C. Most Of Asc's Clients Are People Of Color: 52% Are African-American And 41% Are Latino. More Than 70% Of These Clients Are Active Or Recovering Substance Users; 37% Are Women; 95% Are Medicaid-Eligible; And More Than 70% Are Homeless Or In Need Of Housing Placement Assistance. Asc Services Are English/Spanish Bilingual, With Case Management Services Also Available In French/Haitian Creole. All Asc Services Are Free And Confidential.
