Mission Statement Ciai Aims To Improve The Quality Of Life For Homeless Individuals And Families And Members Of Low-Income Communities In The Maryland/Washington Dc Area. Ciai Provides A Comprehensive Program Of Services Intended To: Expand Educational Opportunities Teach Life Skills Such As Budgeting, Cooking, Health Education, And Stress Management. Assist In Finding And Maintaining Employment Provide Emergency Assistance In The Form Of Food, Clothing, Temporary, Shelter, And Childcare Cultivate Healthy, Fun, And Educational Environments For Area Youth Develop Awareness In The Community Members Unique Talents And Skills In Order To Realize Self-Worth And Self-Confidence Establish Programmatic Connections With Other Area Entities To Pool Resources And Knowledge The Ultimate Goal Of Cia's Program Is To Help Homeless And Low-Income Members Of The Community Achieve Self-Sufficiency. Ciai Seeks To Achieve These Goals Through The Active Participation Of The Target Community Itself In Providing The Services And Programs.
