The Institute For Community Economics (Ice) Is A National Organization That Promotes The Just Allocation Of Resources In Communities With A Focus On The Needs Of Low-Income Families. Through Technical Assistance, Financial Support, And Advocacy, Ice Builds The Capacity Of A National Network Of Community Land Trusts (Clts) And Other Locally Controlled Organizations That Create Land Ownership Structures For Permanently Affordable Housing And Community Economic Development. A Clt Is A Non-Profit Created To Hold Land For The Benefit Of A Community And Individuals Within The Community. A Common Goal Of Most Clts Is To Offer Permanently Affordable Housing.
