About Interior Regional Housing Authority

Our mission is to work in partnership with Tribes of the Doyon Region to improve rural and urban housing conditions through planning, design and affordable and safe construction and to seek opportunities to promote community self-sufficiency through energy and infrastructure advocacy and community projects.

Working together with individual tribes, we have developed a planning process affording them maximum self-determination in prioritizing their housing needs, and deciding on the type of assistance that best addresses those needs. These priorities, combined into a unified Indian Housing Plan (IHP), constitute the IRHA work program.
