In 1997 House Of Love For The Homeless Was Created Out Of A Committment To Keep Homeless Families Together In What Is A Most Traumatic Time In Their Lives. We Will Not Separate The Husband And/Or Older Male Children Which Is The Most Common Practice Amongst Shelters. The Vision Of House Of Love Is Not To Be A Temporary Bandage But To Allow Families In Transition To "Pull Themselves Up By Their Boot Straps." Our Job Is To Empowwer Them To Help Them Help Themselves.
