Peer Center, Inc. Provides Consumers Of Mental Health Services In With The Opportunity And Tools Necessary To Improve The Quality Of Their Lives. It Is A Community Resource Center Based On P E E R, The Acronym For Personal Empowerment, Education, And Recreation. The Center Offers A Wide Spectrum Of Assistance Raging From Respite To Rehabilitation. It Offers Comfort And Support In An Atmosphere Which Provides Many Means Of Helping Members Get Well, Stay Well, And Lead Productive And Satisfying Lives. Members Are Encouraged To Help Themselves And To Help Others Help Themselves. At The Peer Center, Members Are Able To Share Their Thoughts And Feelings With Those Who Know First Hand About Their Illness. The Peer Center Offers A Safe Place To Belong And A Place To Turn To For Understanding And Caring. Peer Center, Inc. Is A Non-Profit Consumer Run Drop-In Center For Consumers Of Mental Health Services, Funded By The State Of Florida Department Of Children And Families, District X, And The Broward County Commission.
