The Pleasant Lane Missionary Baptist Church Was Established In 1966 And Set Apart As A Baptist Organization By The Unity Progressive Baptist Association In May 1968. Located In A Historic District On Capitol Hill In The Nation's Capitol (Washington, Dc), Pleasant Lane Is Housed In Building Built In 1863 By Freed Slaves. This Building Consists Of A Five Hundred Seat Sanctuary, A Fellowship Hall, A Baptism Pool, A Full Service Kitchen, Restrooms, Four Classrooms On The Ground Level And A Three Story Office And Education Building Which Was Attached In The 1960's. Under The Leadership And Guidance Of The Rev. Dr. John D. Chaplin, Pleasant Lane Has Grown Into A Worship Center, An Educational Facility And A Community Outreach Service Organization Providing Services To The Less Fortunate And Those In Need. Our Mission Is To Continue To Provide Services For Tbe Homeless, The Hungry, The Under-Educated And The Less Fortunate In Our Society.L
