About Stand! Against Domestic Violence

Stand! Against Domestic Violence, Formerly Battered Women's Alternatives, Was Formed In 1977 By Volunteers. At That Time We Were Just A Crisis Hotline. We Have Widened Our Focus Over The Last Twenty Years To Serve A Diverse Population Of Clients Including Women, Children, And Men. Our Programs Educate Policy Makers, Legal And Law Enforcement Officials, Medical Personnel, School Faculty, The Faith Community, And Individuals To Shift Relationship Violence From A Private Matter To A Public Concern. We're Changing The Way California Approaches Domestic Violence With New Legislation, Critical Life-Saving Support Services, And Award Winning Prevention Strategies.
